MIXER & PACK RECEIVES A VISIT FROM THE GENERAL SECRETARIAT FOR INNOVATION AT ITS 4.0 FACILITIES

The General Secretariat for Innovation, Teresa Riesgo Alcaide, together with her team, visited the manufacturer of perfumery and home fragrance for third party brands with the aim of learning about all its innovative industrial and design processes that have positioned it as a European leader.

The General Secretariat for Innovation held a meeting with the management  team of Mixer & Pack to learn about the company’s innovation strategy and the  projects that are positioning it as a benchmark in its sector. During the visit, key  areas were discussed, such as the incorporation of emerging technologies, the  drive for sustainability through innovative solutions, and the company’s role in  exporting talent and design to more than 130 countries around the world. 

The day began with a presentation in which Mixer & Pack shared information  about its growth and commitment to excellence in fragrance design and  manufacturing. The perfumery manufacturer presented projects focused on  intelligent automation, industrial sustainability, and the comprehensive  digitalization of its processes, as well as the more than 300 annual designs it  exports to over 130 countries worldwide. These initiatives have solidified its  position as a benchmark in innovation and creativity within the fragrance and  cosmetics industry. 

In this case, Mixer & Pack hosted Teresa Riesgo Alcaide, General Secretariat for  Innovation, Nuria Valcárcel, Director of the Technical Office, and Elena Guijarro,  Head of the Department of Sustainable Technologies and Materials at CDTI

During the meeting, Mixer & Pack presented the latest advancements they have implemented as part of their strong commitment to digital transformation and sustainability. Among the solutions shared were the integration of RFID tunnels for automated real-time traceability (considered the first in the perfumery industry), the use of mixed reality glasses as a tool for technical training and remote maintenance (recently awarded the AITEX Innovation Prize in the cosmetics industry), the installation of 816 photovoltaic modules reinforcing their

commitment to energy efficiency and the decarbonization of the production process, the integration of artificial vision cameras with Deep Learning systems to improve quality, emotional management of employees through AI-driven start ups, and how their newly inaugurated facilities are considered among the most advanced in Europe.

Later, Teresa Riesgo and her team shared all the recent developments and potential avenues for collaboration, as well as the support of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, to ensure that Mixer & Pack continues with its innovation strategy and the export of design. In the words of Teresa Riesgo: “Mixer has proven to be an innovative, unique, and highly creative industry (…) and we truly enjoyed seeing how such relevant projects and realities are being developed here in Spain.”

On the other hand, much of the meeting focused on raising visibility for the Spanish beauty and perfumery industry, where Spain ranks second in perfume exports, and where Mixer & Pack plays a key role in design and production. Their products reach consumers in more than 130 countries worldwide, and today they have clients across all five continents, exporting Spanish creativity as well as “Made in Spain” design.
