MIXER & PACK JOINS THE ACADEMY OF PERFUME

The perfume and cosmetics developer for third party brands has joined the exclusive list of patrons of the prestigious Fundación Academia del Perfume (Spanish Academy of Perfume Foundation).

Mixer & Pack (MECO, MADRID) 8 March.

With the aim of continuing to promote the social awareness and prestige of the world of perfumes, the Spanish Academy of Perfume has just welcomed Mixer & Pack as patron of the institution, together with the multinationals Givaudan, IFF and Revlon/Elizabeth Arden.

Last year, on its 10th anniversary, the Spanish Academy of Perfume became a foundation, complete with a new organisational model, to better promote perfume as culture in Spain, with a more effective, transparent, open and active structure. Fourteen organisations united around Stanpa (Spanish Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association) as instigator to re-establish the Academy of Perfume as a cultural foundation. Today, following the recent addition of Mixer & Pack as perfume and cosmetics developer for third party brands, together with Givaudan, IFF and Revlon/Elizabeth Arden, the Spanish Academy of Perfume Foundation boasts 18 patrons, representing a considerable proportion of the Spanish perfume-making industry.

With these four additions, the Board of Patrons of the Spanish Academy of Perfume Foundation now comprises the following members (in alphabetical order): Angelini Beauty, Chanel, Coty Spain, Estée Lauder, Farlabo, Firmenich, Givaudan, IFF, L´Oréal, Lucta, LVMH, Mixer & Pack, Puig, Revlon/Elizabeth Arden, Shiseido, Stanpa, Symrise and Tailored Perfums; 18 patrons that perfectly represent and reflect the perfume industry in Spain, including the biggest suppliers, the most prestigious brands and the addition of Mixer & Pack as a leading perfume and cosmetics developer for third party brands.

Thanks to this appointment, Mixer & Pack will play an active role in the Spanish Academy of Perfume Awards, an unmissable annual event for the beauty industry that shall be held for the eleventh time this April.

Because the Spanish Academy of Perfume Foundation became the first perfume academy in the world to include members at its core last November, Mixer & Pack will also represent the sector in the selection of new Academy Members, with the appointment of 12 key figures from the sector: seven full members, three members of merit and two honorary members. The ceremony will take place at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando).

According to Agustín Gómez, member of the Mixer & Pack Board of Directors and representative of the perfume developer for third party brands on the Foundation’s Board of Patrons, “We are very proud that the Spanish Academy of Perfume Foundation considers Mixer & Pack to be one of the key players and representatives of the perfume and cosmetics industry in Spain”. The Spanish Academy of Perfume Foundation is continuing where it left off last year by more actively involving the different players in the perfume industry and encouraging dialogue and creative comparisons with other disciplines, such as art, culture, design, gastronomy, cinema, music, fashion and advertising.
